Italian Restaurant in the Heart of Potrero Hill
It’s hard to think of any place but Italy when it comes to enchanting food, wine, and warmth. There’s a petite community Italian restaurant in the center of Potrero Hill in San Francisco called Aperto.
A culinary hotspot scene: our fresh ingredients and appreciation for food and wine combine real Italian cum American taste. Focusing on authenticity above all else, we are devoted to dishing out the finest seasonal, home-grown recipes and organic products that are freshly sourced.
Our list of options presents Atkins Ranch Lamb, wild Fulton Valley Poultry, Niman Ranch, and only water trawled fish and shrimp. We can enthusiastically boast of our impeccable service, flawless food, and good wine. Our menu undergoes periodic changes with the season, and there’s a chalkboard where you will find our everyday specials.
The menu is a gentle blend of rustic Italian cooking: from sandwiches to grilled fish. Our highlights include tasty chicken salad prepared with grilled organic Fulton Valley chicken breast and topped with warm cauliflower. There’s also brussels sprouts, cavolo nero, and white balsamic vinaigrette.
You’ll also find that our Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich (made with the extraordinary Fulton Valley organic chicken breast, roasted peppers, sweet onions, fontina cheese, focaccia) is a must.
Our delicious grilled/roasted fish is lathered with butternut squash-fennel caponata, golden raisins, and dressed with pinenuts. Our menu also features Aperto Ceasar Salad, which by the way is out of this world, (hearts of romaine, hints of white anchovy, grana crouton and caesar dressing). The pasta is sensational, a Tagliolini Pepati: Thin pasta with smoked bacon, jalapeno, garlic, tomato sauce, arugula, butter & grana. Special mention must go to house special, Aperto Ravioli, which is a blend of ravioli, butternut squash, ricotta, brown butter, sage, and grana.
And of course, there’s the wine. Fetched from the cellars and conveyed straight to your table – natural, enchanting, healthier, and of superior value than most vintages, you will find in San Francisco.
With a new menu debuted every week and a two-course lunch prix fixe available from Monday to Friday, we conjure up a proper Italian restaurant. We are a low-key neighborhood Italian trattoria flawlessly transported to America and featuring a rotating seasonal menu at lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
Aperto is a sensation; subtle, simple culminating in a cozy indoor-outdoor out of the way experience, our restaurant is a perfected catalog of genuine and passionate Italian flair.
